This involves recognizing the cognitive self-statements we unconsciously feed into our minds and learning to challenge and shift these patterns. Negative assumptions and self-statements, even if they contradict our existing subconscious beliefs, do not easily change. This is why many seek the guidance of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), which helps individuals reframe their thoughts and develop constructive self-statements.
