Binodanand Jha: The Third Chief Minister of Bihar
Binodanand Jha, born on 17th April 1901 in Deoghar, Bengal Presidency (which is now part of Jharkhand, India), served as the third Chief Minister of Bihar from 18 February 1961 to 2 October 1963 under the Indian National Congress party. His tenure marked significant developments in the state's governance and socio-economic reforms. After his brief stint as Chief Minister, he continued his political career, serving as a member of the 5th Lok Sabha from 1971 to 1972.

Binodanand Jha came from a scholarly background and received his early education in Deoghar. He went on to further his studies at the Central Calcutta College, now known as Maulana Azad College, under the University of Calcutta.
