Are Most Self-Made Billionaires Sociopaths?
The human brain isn't designed to accept that kind of insane luxury and freedom. Billionaires can literally click their fingers and have nearly any experience they want. When you have that kind of power, your entire mentality changes. Society often wonders why billionaires don't help the poor. This misconception lies in the belief that a billionaire's worldview is similar to that of a normal person. They are beyond a rational, normal person's perspective. That's the reality when you can have nearly anything you desire with the stroke of a finger.
A Lack of Psychological Regulation
To determine who can serve as an officer for a publicly traded company, there are no psychological exams required. This oversight is a significant mistake. During an investigation of a man worth 500 million, my team uncovered numerous red flags. Despite being non-professional in mental health matters, I strongly believe that no qualified mental health professional would have missed these signs after spending just a few hours with him. Ultimately, he was convicted for illegal campaign donations. There are likely many such cases that go unaddressed because of this lack of regulation.
Focus and Sanity
People who become billionaires often exhibit laser-like focus on their goals. Most people cannot maintain such single-minded dedication, leading us to perceive their success as a result of a pathological state. Some billionaires do have bipolar disorder, but it can sometimes drive them to dream bigger and more delusional, yet they still manage to achieve remarkable wealth.
Ted Turner is a perfect example. Despite his bipolar condition, he started CNN. The entire world thought he was delusional, but today, CNN stands as a testament to his vision. You need to be a little crazy to navigate the many failures, bankruptcies, and public abuse on the path to success as a billionaire. The payoff is immense, but the journey requires a deep, unwavering commitment and the willingness to endure relentless criticism and hardship.
Donald Trump may be another compelling example. While I need not elaborate further, his journey and success illustrate the unique mindset required to overcome immense challenges and achieve billionaire status.
