As the year 2019 opens, I am filled with a mixture of hope and anticipation. Whether or not my plans for the year go as expected, I am committed to making 2019 memorable both for myself and those around me. Of all the things I hope to see in 2019, the most pressing is the hope that a particular process comes to a positive conclusion. This year, I am prioritizing my health and well-being, and I am hopeful that a decision regarding my residence will be resolved in a manner that aligns with my personal and professional goals. Whether this outcome is realized or not, I will remain steady and committed to the life I have built for myself.

Travel Plans and Excursions

Canada beckons with a month-long tour that promises to be an epic adventure. With the intention to make another trip later in the year, I am determined to explore as much as possible. Originally, a Russian river cruise was on the cards, but my resolve to refrain from contributing to Russia's economy remains unwavering. This decision not only aligns with my values but also allows me to experience Canada's beauty in all its forms.

Personal Celebrations: Easter and Beyond

The next significant celebration on my calendar is Easter. While it is not a federal holiday, the timing remains a joyous one for my family. On Easter morning and afternoon, we will be at church, partaking in an Easter egg hunt, and then gathering at my mother's house for a delightful Easter dinner. This tradition is cherished and marks a meaningful moment in our family's calendar.

Visiting Longing Relatives: Journey to Meet Nania

After a substantial 34 months apart, I am planning to visit my mother's home for an extended period. Aimed at introducing my daughters to their grandmother Nania, this visit promises to be an enriching experience for both sides of the family. While at mother's home, we will not only forge stronger bonds with grandmother Nania but also embark on a planned short trip to Kashmir or Manali in the last days of the month. This combination of home visits and short excursions promises a wholesome and fulfilling year.

Relaxing Amusements at Home

A primary part of my holiday plans is centered around unwinding at home. I am dedicated to spending as much time as possible engrossed in horror movies and working on my crafty UFO (UnFinished Objects) projects. This is not just a form of entertainment, but also a means to unplug from the hustle and bustle of the world and embrace the creative side of my personality. Additionally, the use of headphones will ensure that I am listening to upbeat music with angry lyrics, perfect for bopping around the stores without exposure to the usual Christmas tapes.

Delicious Deliveries and Holidays

During the Christmas season, my job has offered every employee a choice of a main dish for their 'family' to have delivered to their house. I chose a spiral sliced honey ham, and since I am single, the company's assumption that it should be sufficient for a family of four has resulted in a substantial amount of ham. Furthermore, cookies will also be delivered with the ham, adding to the festive spirit. The reality of the situation is that the ham delivered was a whopping 9 pounds, which was a pleasant surprise and joyous addition to the festivities.

Unforgettable Christmas Experience

To counter the usual Christmas shennigans, I have strategically taken PTO (Paid Time Off) from December 20-22. Coupled with the company provided Christmas days, this means I can stay home and avoid crowds. During this time, I will be cocooned in my pajamas, enjoying a variety of activities such as cooking, baking, and drinking (but of course, responsibly). The festive season will have me indulging in Xmas horror movies, a genre that I find truly rewarding. These movies offer a unique blend of joy and chilling thrills, making them the perfect entertainment choice during the winter months.
